At 20/20 Plumbing & Heating, Inc., we are proud to work alongside veterans and active service members who have sacrificed to protect our freedom and prosperity.

Recently, 20/20 Customer Service Warehouse Manager Don Dee was honored with the Patriot Award for support of his employee, Brandon Morales. Brandon is an active member of the United States Army Reserve.

Individual supervisors may be nominated for the Patriot Award by an employee who is serving in the National Guard or Reserve, or the spouse of a Guard or Reserve member. The award acknowledges the efforts made to support citizen warriors by offering flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence when needed.

The Patriot Award is made available through the ESGR, a Department of Defense office established to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve service members and their civilian employers. The ESGR is supported by a network of more than 3,000 volunteers from business, government, education and military sectors who work with ESGR staff to promote and enhance employer support for military service in the Guard and Reserve.

Brandon joined the 20/20 family in November 2018. He works as a Tool Room Lead and also assists with customer service. He has been a Reservist since July 2015. 

According to Brandon, Don’s proactive support makes both his job and his military service easier. “He’s always flexible for my schedule and has someone ready to cover for me, even if it’s a short notice or if I must leave for longer than the normal periods of time. If needed, he does all parts of the role that needs to be filled and ensures that everything stays up to standards.”

Don’s actions also reflect the values and culture of 20/20. Brandon observes, “He is always ready to help everyone at any moment, he comes to work looking for opportunities to cheer people up and always gives his honest opinion. And most importantly, he looks out for everyone.”

When asked what he believes inspires Don’s support, Brandon replied, “He is simply a patriot, ready to help in any way he sees possible.”
