20/20 Plumbing & Heating Hosts Second Company-Wide Safety Stand Down of 2025
On August 14, 2025, 20/20 Plumbing & Heating paused operations across all divisions for our second Company-Wide Safety Stand Down of the year. This was not just a meeting; it was a demonstration of our ongoing commitment to building one of the strongest safety cultures in the industry.
Safety as a Core Value
At 20/20 Plumbing & Heating, safety is not a checklist item or a compliance requirement. It is a core value that guides how we work, how we train, and how we look out for one another. Every project we deliver is built on the foundation of protecting our people and our partners. A safe job site is a productive job site, and it directly impacts quality, timelines, and costs for our clients.
For future employees, our safety culture means you are joining a team where your well-being comes first. We believe everyone should go home in the same condition they arrived, without exception.
A Different Kind of Stand Down
This Stand Down was structured to maximize engagement from the field. Every superintendent and foreman led a portion of the agenda, speaking directly to their peers. This peer-to-peer approach made a powerful impact, with one of the most common takeaways being how much employees valued hearing from the people they work alongside every day.
The discussions covered practical topics including sprain and strain prevention, PPE best practices, ladder safety, worksite cleanliness, and the importance of daily huddles. Breakout sessions encouraged open dialogue about spotting and addressing hazards, reinforcing the principle of “See Something, Say Something.”
Strong Participation, Stronger Culture
Participation levels were some of the highest we have seen in a Stand Down. Nearly everyone in attendance contributed ideas, asked questions, or shared personal experiences. The company safety slogan activity sparked real collaboration, with teams proud of what they created and eager to share with others.
This level of engagement strengthens our culture. When people speak up about safety, it builds trust, accountability, and a shared sense of responsibility that carries over to every job site.
Why It Matters to Our Clients and Our Team
For our builder partners, this commitment to safety means fewer disruptions, less risk, and confidence that every phase of the project is handled with care. For our employee-owners, it means a workplace where their safety is not negotiable and their voice matters.
The 2025 Safety Stand Downs have reinforced that safety is more than a program. It is part of who we are as a company, and it is one of the reasons builders trust us, employees stay with us, and new talent wants to join us.
