20/20 Plumbing & Heating Hosts First Companywide Safety Standdown of 2025

On April 3, 2025, 20/20 Plumbing & Heating held its first Safety Standdown of the year, reinforcing a company tradition that underscores a core value: the safety of our employee-owners. While this wasn’t a new initiative, it was a powerful reminder of the high standard we’ve set—and continue to raise—when it comes to workplace safety.

In true 20/20 fashion, we paused operations across all divisions—field and office alike—shutting down our job sites and warehouses for several hours. Locations from Riverside and San Marcos to Las Vegas and Los Angeles came together in unison for this essential conversation. This unified companywide pause was not just symbolic but deliberate: our people are our greatest asset, and ensuring they make it home safe each day is our top priority.

Safety is Ownership

As an employee-owned company, the importance of safety extends beyond policies—it’s personal. When you own something, you take care of it differently. That mindset is what makes the safety culture at 20/20 unique. We’re not just showing up for a paycheck; we’re showing up for each other, for our families, and for the long-term success of a company we have a personal stake in.

A Culture That Produces Results

The April Standdown highlighted measurable improvements from last year’s safety policies:

  • Eye injuries dropped dramatically following the implementation of our safety glasses policy.
  • After rolling out the boot policy and voucher program, we saw a 66% reduction in ankle injuries and nearly eliminated puncture wounds.
  • Overall, recordable injuries fell 34% from 2023 to 2024.

These aren’t just statistics—they represent lives protected, accidents avoided, and a culture that continues to grow stronger.

Real Conversations, Real Impact

Each location held breakout sessions where team members shared ideas, asked questions, and participated in honest dialogue about safety on the job. From hand injuries and ladder safety to back strain prevention and slip-and-fall awareness, every topic tied back to one goal: making 20/20 a safer place for everyone.

This transparency and collaboration are what drive continued improvements. As always, feedback collected during these sessions will be reviewed and integrated into future safety practices.

For Our Customers, For Each Other

Prioritizing safety isn’t just for us—it’s for our customers too. Our partners know that when they work with 20/20 Plumbing & Heating, they’re working with a team that values professionalism, care, and a job done right. A safe job is a high-quality job.

As we move further into 2025, our commitment to safety remains stronger than ever. Because at 20/20 Plumbing & Heating, we don’t just talk about safety—we stop the company to live it out loud.
