20/20 Plumbing & Heating Awarded Multi-Family Plumbing Contract for Ontario Airport Hotel & Conference Center Redevelopment

20/20 Plumbing & Heating has been awarded the multi-family plumbing contract for the redevelopment of the Ontario Airport Hotel & Conference Center, one of the larger hospitality projects currently moving forward in the Inland Empire. The property at 700 N. Haven Avenue in Ontario, California, is being transformed into a Hyatt Regency, and 20/20 will deliver the plumbing systems that support the rebuilt hotel.

The award places 20/20 Plumbing & Heating on a project backed by a $103 million financing package secured by National CORE, the Rancho Cucamonga-based nonprofit developer that owns the property and is serving as general contractor on the redevelopment.

A Significant Project for Ontario and the Inland Empire

The existing hotel holds 309 rooms. The redevelopment will reposition it into a 295-room Hyatt Regency, trading some room count for larger guest suites on the upper floors. The reduction reflects a shift toward a higher-tier product rather than a simple refresh.

Plans for the property include a renovated lobby, expanded food and beverage offerings, a new lounge space, and more than 16,000 square feet of renovated common areas. The work touches guest rooms, corridors, public spaces, and back-of-house systems across the building.

For Ontario, the project matters beyond the hotel itself. The redevelopment is expected to create construction jobs, support nearby demand drivers, and bring an upgraded hospitality option to a part of the region that has seen steady growth. A repositioned hotel of this size also signals continued private investment in the city.

Growth Around Ontario International Airport

Location is a large part of why the project carries weight. The hotel sits roughly one mile from Ontario International Airport, which handled more than 7 million passengers in 2024. It is about three miles from the Ontario Convention Center and within walking distance of Toyota Arena.

That corridor along the Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga border has become one of the busier development zones in Southern California. Airport traffic, event activity, and convention demand all feed the need for quality lodging nearby. A renovated Hyatt Regency fills part of that gap.

National CORE’s Vision for the Property

National CORE acquired the hotel through a bankruptcy auction in 2024 and later reached a franchise agreement with Hyatt. The redevelopment is the next step in turning a distressed asset into a functioning, modern property.

The developer’s approach pairs the building renovation with infrastructure improvements throughout. That includes the plumbing systems, which carry more importance in a hotel than they often get credit for.

Why Plumbing Infrastructure Matters in Hospitality Builds

Hotels run on water. Guest rooms, restaurants, lounges, pools, and common areas all depend on plumbing that performs reliably and meets code on a tight construction schedule. In a multi-family or hospitality build, the plumbing work has to coordinate with dozens of other trades while keeping the project on pace.

This is the kind of work 20/20 Plumbing & Heating has handled across Southern California and Southern Nevada. The company has built a track record on complex commercial and multi-family construction, where the systems are demanding and the margin for error is small.

20/20 Plumbing & Heating’s Role

On the Ontario Airport Hotel redevelopment, 20/20 will be responsible for the plumbing systems supporting the renovated guest rooms, expanded food and beverage spaces, lounge, and common areas. The scope runs across the full property as it is repositioned into the Hyatt Regency.

The contract adds to the company’s portfolio of large-scale projects throughout the Inland Empire and the broader Southern California market.

20/20 Plumbing & Heating remains focused on delivering high-quality work on projects that strengthen the communities it serves. The Ontario Airport Hotel redevelopment is one more chance to do that close to home.
