20/20 Plumbing & Heating’s Las Vegas team has been awarded the plumbing contract for the renovation of Apache Pines Family Apartments, a 228-unit affordable housing community in southwest Las Vegas.

The project brings our Las Vegas team together with Nevada HAND as improvements are made throughout the existing apartment community.

Located at 9552 W. Tropicana Avenue near I-215, Apache Pines includes a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartment homes serving families across the Las Vegas Valley. The community also offers a swimming pool, covered parking and outdoor gathering areas, along with Nevada HAND’s on-site Resident Services programs.

Supporting the Renovation of 228 Apartment Homes

The plumbing contract includes work associated with the renovation of all 228 apartment units. Our job is to support updates throughout the community while maintaining the infrastructure residents depend on every day.

Renovation work is not new construction. Crews are working inside an existing community and around existing building conditions, which requires coordination, planning and communication through every phase of the job. Schedules are built around what is already there, not around an open pad.

For 20/20’s Las Vegas team, this is familiar ground. Large-scale rehabilitation work is a regular part of what our plumbing crews support throughout the region, and Apache Pines reflects the size and complexity the team handles across Southern Nevada.

Our field teams will work alongside the other contractors and project partners involved in the renovation as work progresses throughout the property.

What Makes Multifamily Plumbing Renovation Different

Owners and general contractors who have completed a large apartment rehab already know how different it feels from ground-up work. For anyone planning one, a few realities tend to shape the entire job.

Existing conditions rarely match the drawings. Original plans can be decades old, and what crews find behind the walls often differs from what was documented. Field verification and fast problem solving keep the schedule intact.

Access is limited. Work happens in stacked units with shared walls, shared chases and shared systems. Taking a line out of service affects more than one home, so isolation planning and resident notice matter as much as the pipe itself.

Sequencing drives everything. Rough-in, fixture setting and trim have to line up with drywall, paint, flooring, cabinets and inspections. When one trade slips, the unit turn slips with it.

Residents are part of the equation. On an occupied or partially occupied property, crews are working in and around people’s homes. Clean work areas, clear communication and predictable schedules are part of the job, not extras.
