PATH Villas Montclair — Building a World Where Every Person Has a Home

On May 17, 20/20 Plumbing & Heating, Inc. joined PATH Ventures in celebrating the grand opening of PATH Villas Montclair, a new supportive housing complex located at 4220 Montclair Street in the Jefferson Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. This is the second supportive housing community that 20/20 Plumbing & Heating has helped PATH bring to fruition in the past year, following the completion of PATH Villas at South Gate in November 2021.

PATH Villas Montclair provides 45 studio apartments to individuals who were previously homeless and earn up to half of the area’s median income. Rents are subsidized with project-based vouchers from the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles. In addition, the complex offers on-site supportive services including case management, life skills training and substance abuse counseling.

A contemporary five-story structure with colorful accents, PATH Villas Montclair is a place residents can feel proud to call home. Amenities include a community lounge with a kitchen, a roof deck and a landscaped courtyard, welcoming spaces where residents can form bonds with their neighbors.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti remarked at the grand opening ceremony, “Every one of the apartments created because Angelenos stepped up to pass HHH — including the 45 supportive units opening today at PATH Villas Montclair — is a new home for an Angeleno who will have access to supportive services and a safe, stable place to call theirs. Because of HHH and collaboration across departments led by Executive Directive 30, the City has increased its annual production of supportive housing by 600 percent, from 300 units a year to over 2,000.”

PATH Ventures is also developing affordable housing in Hollywood and West Carson to augment its existing communities in Greater Los Angeles, Santa Barbara/ Central Coast, Greater San Diego, San Jose / Bay Area and Orange County.

PATH started in 1983, with a letter written by Claire and Rev. Charles Orr, asking the community to address the growing problem of homelessness. In response, a group organized and began distributing food and clothing to people living on the streets. More than 30 years later, PATH provides services in more than 150 cities in five regions with the mission of ending homelessness for individuals, families and communities. Following the Housing First model, PATH connects people to permanent housing and then focuses on stabilization through voluntary supportive services, including case management, medical and mental healthcare, benefits advocacy, employment training, and other services that help residents maintain housing stability. Currently, PATH has seven new communities in pre-development, with a total of 648 new units.

A testament to its goodwill, PATH holds a Three-Year Accreditation from CARF International, an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services providers in the areas of Aging Services, Behavioral Health, Child and Youth Services, Durable Medical Equipment, Employment and Community Services, Medical Rehabilitation, Opioid Treatment Programs, and Vision Rehabilitation Services.

PATH envisions a world where every person has a home, and 20/20 is delighted to be working alongside this worthy organization to create service-enhanced affordable housing.

20/20 Plumbing & Heating frequently supports affordable housing initiatives for veterans, seniors and other low-income communities. We are proud to deliver the highest quality services, regardless of budget, to ensure that our California and Nevada neighbors have safe and comfortable places to call home.
