California’s Coachella Valley is a hot housing destination for more than its 360 days of sunshine each year. In recent years, residents have been drawn to the region for its natural beauty and tranquil vibes, and also for its affordability when compared with other Southern California markets. The pandemic spurred an even greater demand for area housing, as remote workers fled Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley seeking Coachella’s reasonably priced homes and vibrant art culture. According to Redfin, prices are up 16.8% over last year, and demand is expected to continue in 2022.
