San Diego Team Awarded Plumbing Contract for KB Home’s City Vista in Escondido
20/20 Plumbing & Heating’s San Diego Single Family Plumbing team has been awarded the plumbing contract for City Vista, a new KB Home community in Escondido, California.
The award gives our San Diego team another opportunity to work alongside KB Home as the builder continues developing new housing throughout San Diego County. It follows our recent work with KB Home at Townsend in Santee, another paired-home community in the county.
KB Home announced the opening of City Vista on September 25, 2026. The community is located near Interstate 15 at North Nutmeg Street and North Centre City Parkway and features three-story paired homes in a central Escondido location.
A New Residential Community in Escondido
According to KB Home, City Vista’s three-story floor plans range from approximately 1,235 to 1,834 square feet. KB Home’s announcement lists homes with up to four bedrooms and 3.5 baths, with pricing starting from the mid $600,000s.
The location provides access to Interstate 15, Highway 78 and major employers throughout San Diego and Riverside Counties. Homes are served by the Escondido Union School District.
Nearby recreation and entertainment include historic downtown Escondido, the Escondido wine region, Mershops North County Mall, Dixon Lake and Kit Carson Park. City Vista will also include planned community open space with walking paths, benches and a children’s playground.
The homes are designed around modern, open living areas. Features include kitchens overlooking great rooms, bedroom suites with walk-in closets and ample storage.
KB Home also gives buyers the opportunity to personalize their homes through its Design Studio, from floor plan and exterior style to interior finishes and other design selections.
Building With Efficiency and Resilience in Mind
Energy efficiency and wildfire resilience are built into the community’s home designs.
City Vista homes are designed to earn ENERGY STAR® certification, a standard KB Home notes is achieved by fewer than 12% of new homes nationwide. The homes include energy- and water-efficient features intended to improve comfort while helping reduce household utility use.
For the trades, water efficiency is where plumbing plays a direct role. Every fixture, line and connection we install becomes part of a home that is expected to perform well for the people who live there.
These elements are particularly relevant for new residential construction in Southern California, where builders continue to bring updated approaches to efficiency, durability and fire resilience into new communities.
Continuing Our Work With KB Home
For 20/20 Plumbing & Heating, City Vista adds another KB Home community to the work being completed by our San Diego Single Family Plumbing division.
High-volume residential construction requires consistent coordination between the builder, field teams, purchasing, scheduling, suppliers and the other trades working throughout the project. Maintaining that coordination from the early stages of construction through completion is an important part of keeping homes moving through the building process. It is also one of the key qualities we outlined in what single-family builders should look for in a plumbing and HVAC trade partner.
Our San Diego team appreciates the continued opportunity to support KB Home and looks forward to contributing to City Vista as construction progresses.
Proud of the People Behind the Work
As a 100% employee-owned company, we are proud of the employees in the field and behind the scenes whose experience, communication and daily work make partnerships like this possible.
